Besides these minor setbacks, the game is a superb piece of artwork as well as a revolutionary step to many of the games today. It entails such a wide range of things to do that even when you finish Shenmue you could start it over and go about it in a completely different manner. It's hard to sum up one of Dreamcast's greatest works it ever produced, but if I had to, I'd say it is a historical landmark that will never lose its edge in the gaming world. In conclusion, Shenmue is a very memorable game which may move slowly at times and not pack much of an ending, but flaws like that just end up fading into the shadows of its wonderful qualities. One would be justified in buying a Dreamcast just for Shenmue . Läs mer Översätt till svenska

The real time can be a bit of a drag all so when you have to kill time in the game for a specific time and the forklift driving can get boring just like a real job. I hope that one day Sega finishes the Shenmue story with a part 3. It is an engrossing magnificent work of digital art and it engulfs the player in a world of Sega's own creation. Detta spel innehåller antagligen den bästa grafiken i något Dreamcast-spel. Dessutom löper spelets tidslinje kontinuerligt i över ett års tid, vilket gör det än mer varierande. Det minus som finns är att spelvärlden inte är speciellt stor, och att händelseförloppet är tämligen linjärt. Läs mer

I think I first knew of Shenmue in about 2004, that was when I got a dreamcast. I had bought the old console from a local pawnshop, really cheap, with a few games like Quake III Arena and Virtua Fighter, decent games in their own right(especially Q3A) however I felt I needed something deeper. Iv'e alwasy been a fan of the action adventure genre, good storylines but with good gameplay, and that's what I wanted. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

when i first recieved a dreamcast i purchased it with this game and for some reason, i think due to development it was a year before its delayed release. Find yourself immersed in this fantastically constructed world. The gameplay is faultless and the storyline is nothing short of perfection.
