These TCL functions don't work. Mode and Guide.

Sort of annoying that these functions don't work (40" model). I want to change the Mode quite often because it really makes a difference. Also, it's really annoying that it doesn't support the Guide function for getting upcoming over the air programming. For about 5 bucks more Sony offers a Learning Remote. Not sure if it would learn these functions, but if it could it would be worth the upgrade. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

Volume and channel controls, mute, and channel recall functions; that's about it. Device pairing codes for the remote are not real extensive; but it will work with many major brands of TVs and cable boxes (it would not pair with my LG television. Buttons cannot be manually programmed. The remote is not particularly small, but the big buttons are nice. You need large hands to hold the remote comfortably in one hand. It's OK for the price. From this one control, I control a cable box, television, DVD/VCR combo, BlueRay player, DVR, and 400 CD music changer. Easy to program but follow the instructions carefully, particularly "press and hold the Device Select button you want to program for more than 3 seconds". Seems perfect for our needs; my husband is disabled and needs the larger buttons; a plus is its simplicity - there are only the essential buttons on the remote. All the other buttons found on regular remotes confuse him and cause him to click the wrong button. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

- Simple Layout. Nice big buttons. Great for elderly, people with limited hand function.
- Difficult to program (unless you know the trick). Can't tell if buttons are being pressed.
