A failed drive does not constitute a one egg rating. However, given that I have two identical failed drives in a short period of time gives me pause. Does Western Digital even exercise quality control? The noise created by the replacement drive I was sent in a warranty exchange should have caused someone at WD to reject the drive. This review is moreso about the way Amazon shipped me this OEM drive as opposed to a review on the drive itself. Amazon quite literally threw this drive into a cardboard box and mailed it to me. No joke. No protective padding, nothing. This is an OEM drive so it does not have a retail box of its own. The drive is wrapped in a plastic bag and that's it. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

Use it for my main OS HDD, Everything loads up pretty fast not as fast as the WD6401AALS, I plan on replacing it with a WD6401AALS then buying another WD5001AALS to raid it with my current HDD, for storage. I find it very dependable, no hdd failures at all. Solid HDD. Läs mer Översätt till svenska
