Den moderna designen i kombination med nya funktioner och en kraftigt förbättrad bildstabilisering gör handhavandet till ett nöje. Det nya IS-systemet sägs ge fyra bländarstegs fördel, vilket vårt test kan bekräfta. Den gamla versionen gav bara två bländarsteg.    I have had this lens since the end of September and I am using it quite frequently mainly for wildlife photography. It is a great piece of kit and it is of course extremely sharp (if you don't have one of the affected 7Ds anyway - like me). It has the most amazing depth of field, it is pin sharp even at f/2.8. It is extremely well built and the front glass element almost seems to clean itself. I have had to clean the glass once since I have owned it. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

   We all know this lens is expensive. However, if you're even reading this review, then chances are you can afford to buy one if you really want to...but honestly this is what happens when Canon designs a no compromise lens and then puts the price tag on it in the end, rather than having a fixed price point in mind and building a compromised lens just to meet that price.    Ridiculous was an adjective used by someone I know, when other superlatives were too weak in their description. There are a couple of lenses in my arsenal that are considered by many to be reference standards. But this one even leaves those behind and has no peer - in many different aspects. The image quality will blow you away, words are useless here, the pictures you get will astound you. Razor sharp across the entire(!) frame and bokeh that is crazy delicious.    What can be written about the latest incarnation of the 300 f/22.8 that haven't been done elsewhere? I bought one of the 1st lenses in Germany (reason for the high price tag) and use it ever since almost purely was a walk around lens. Either in Venice or for wildlife on my FF camera.    Dette objektivet er blitt en del dyrere enn gamlemodellen. Grunnen til det er at Canon har puttet inn enda et fluorittelement, og det koster. Ved å ta ut to vanlige linseelement og sette inn et fluorittelement isteden, er objektivet blitt lettere og mer kompakt. Vekten har gått ned med 200g til 2.350g og 248mm lengde (Nikons variant veier til sammenligning 2900g og er 267mm langt). Men aller viktigst: et meget skarpt objektiv er blitt enda bedre!
