    The Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM is a very desirable lens and, surprisingly, a very affordable one. Both contrast and resolution are very good straight from f/1.8 and excellent at medium aperture settings. On APS-C DSLRs there's only a moderate degree of vignetting at f/1.8 and beyond it's a non-issue. Neither distortions nor lateral CAs are something to worry about in field conditions.     Ett fantastiskt gediget objektiv, med tanke på prisnivån. Tungt, stabilt och rejält. Kvaliteten i bilderna är också mycket imponerande. Fina färger, utomordentligt skarpt och en mycket tilltalande "oskärpa" vid stor bländare. Kort sagt är detta ett mycket bra objektiv. Min enda invändning mot det, och det är ju högst subjektivt, är att med brännviddsförlängning, blir brännvidden, för mina behov, ganska märkligt. Läs mer

    Det ultimata objektivet för ansiktsporträtt i budgetklassen! Får godkänt på alla punkter, främst vad gäller bildkvalitet och pris. Detta må vara högst personligt, men objektiv på den här brännvidden har ett ganska begränsat användningområde, till viss del p.g.a. usel närgräns. Jag har skippat detta och håller mig till 50mm, 100mm och 135mm istället. Läs mer

    I really like this lens. Sometimes, on weekend trips, I will take only this lens, and it has proved to be a very nice choice. I would not recommend it if you have landscapes in mind. But for portraits, I like it better than my 50mm f/1.8, and that's saying a lot. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

    I orderd this lens to use as a portrait lens. My order arrived on the day promised in good condition, I have used the lens to photograph my 8 month old great granddaughter, (if she would keep still long enough) and other family members, with excellent results, and The lens is very fast, focusing is quick and accurate, I found on the down side, very good lens for the price.
