Zoomomfånget ligger perfekt i förlängningen av Canons standardobjektiv på 18–55 mm. Priset är överkomligt, och så har den nya modellen till och med bildstabilisering i fyra steg. Finishen är gjord av plast och fattningen är inte av metall, men mekaniskt är objektivet tillförlitligt. Närgränsen är 1,1 meter och filterdiametern 58 mm. The Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS is a tiny tele lens with a comparatively impressive performance potential. The resolution is very good across the range. Chromatic aberrations are almost a non-issue in field conditions. The level of distortions remains moderate. The most obvious flaw is, unsurprisingly, vignetting at large apertures. When writing the summary of this particular lens we can easily say that we get what we paid for. After spending less than 300 USD we can get a lens with a good resolution at the whole focal length range, with well controlled chromatic aberration and optical stabilization – maybe not being 4EV, but still relatively effective. An 88-400mm equivalent, this is Canon's longest EF-S (digital only) zoom, and roughly the low-cost digital alternative to its 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L full-frame "white" image-stabilized zoom that's so hot with pros. The EF-S 55-250IS is a relatively new lens designed to supplement the EF-S 18-55IS "Kit Lens" for the Digital Rebel line of DSLRs. Like the EF-S 18-55/3.5-5.6 IS, the 55-250/4-5.6 IS uses Canon's new low cost IS system. Nevertheless, Canon claims up to 4 stops of additional stability, which is as good as (or even better than) lenses with Canon's traditional IS control. Jag tycker att detta objektiv fungerar utmärkt som telezoomobjektiv för den som vill ha ett billigt teleobjektiv... Jag tycker den har fungerat bra så länge jag haft det och rekommenderar denna. Läs mer

jag köpte detta objektiv för att jag ville kunna fotografera på lite längre avstånd. och för det låga priset får du alltså ett objektiv med inte bara bildstabilisator i.. du får helt suveräna bilder, jag läste mycket om det innan och många skrev att bildkvalitén är samma som många av de dyrare objektiven har. men jag trodde inte att det skulle vara så här bra! jag har en canon 550d och jag har inte anv. något annat objektiv på det år jag haft detta! Great zoom lens

This zoom lens was a part of my package purchase for my Canon XSi, so I couldn't choose which lens I wanted. This was my first SLR purchase so I really wouldn't have known which lenses to choose from in the first place. It is very easy to change out lenses on this camera. Just line up the white arrows and twist, easy as that. The zoom is pretty good, my Canon SX10 has a 20x zoom so it's hard to compete with that. The pictures taken with the zoom are impressive. Bra objektiv men inte det snabbaste. Den har seg autofokus som ibland kan missa. IS låter otroligt mycket och det är väldigt störande. Bortsett från det är detta objektiv riktigt bra. Även byggkvalitén är bra. Läs mer
