   I bought it because I want to use it with my other lens It's a good size and I like his form I dislike that is not compatible with my lens and I couldn't use it, could not change for another lens so I' m going to have to sell it I would not bought another teleconverter without being sure is going to work for you. 2. Was not able to use it on the Nikon D5100

   All the reviews of the product were good, however it would not adapt to the Nikon D5100. I had to return it. If it had worked I would most likely have kept and used it...The vendor gave good service, had good communications and was prompt on delivery and return of the Converter.    Five stars because it does what it advertised very well, with admitted limitations. If you want a 400mm/2/8 lens, you have to pay [$] dollars. If you can get by with dropping the excellent 70-200/2.8 to a f5.6, you get 400mm, albiet a little slower, but also [$] less. I took mine out of the box, tossed the instructions in the truck, and shot an off-hand running shot of my black lab at about 60 yards, and nearly fell over when I saw the image on my LCD!    This is a great little converter,which i highly recommend. Ive used it with the 80-200AFS and 300 f2.8AFS,(with F100)consistently over the last couple of months, shooting mostly soccer and cycling, and have nothing but praise and paychecks to show for it. No visible distortion,or loss of focusing speed apparant.Sharpness and contrast remains true,frame after frame. Also the weight balance between body and lens remains fluent.    • Twice the focal length for only $360??, Means the kids can go to college..., Slightly smaller than a 400mm lens!
   • None., All 2X converters have a 2fstop penalty,, so its not a particular weakness compared to other converters.
