    Although the 3D demo material looks good, we experienced mixed results when converting content that wasn’t designed with 3D in mind. Photos and videos remained flat, but we were fairly impressed with the games we tested it on. The big problem is that the TriDef software places too much of a strain on the laptop’s rather limited graphics resources, and in order to get decent frame rates we had to whack detail and resolution settings right down.     Offering power and features far beyond what we expected at this price, the Aspire 5738-644G50Mn is an exceptional laptop and a true bargain.     • Super-cheap, with overall impressive specs for its price level. Outstanding performance, even as a gaming rig.
    • 3-D technology, as implemented here, is years away from prime time. Bafflingly stupid design choices. Dim screen backlighting. Heavy.

    Acer Aspire. Mycket bra dator, fungerar mer eller mindre till allt. underbar att skriva och surfa runt med, har en stor lagringskapacitet (320GB närmare bestämt) För de som är ute efter att spela, så har Aspire 5738 en del att leverera. 1GB ati Radeon och 4GB DDR3. gör att man kan köra alla dagens spel (kanske inte på högsta grafik). Det som gör att jag tycker att Aspire 5738 är så bra, är datorns allsidighet. Läs mer

    I bought this laptop for my mother-in-law a few months ago and she is quite pleased with it. It isn't exactly blue but its color is very attractive nevertheless. However, it came with all of the other specifications advertised on Amazon.com. It boots up and shuts down very quickly and its performance of tasks is satisfactory.     Great budget laptop for those who just want their laptop for word processing and watching videos. I've had this laptop for nearly 2 years now, and been using it daily at University. It still works a treat and is possibly the least frustrating computer I've experienced. Acer really have come in leaps and bounds recently, and this laptop I feel shows that.     I'm using the notebook mainly for multimedia use, movies, music and games. I was surprised how it handles 3d gaming with all settings on high. If you are looking for a gaming computer but also want to surf the net, then I recommend this notebook. The 3D conversion of DVD's works well, and is also adjustable to your taste.
