   Det var under 2011 som Asus visade upp de första prototyperna till Padfone. Då rörde det sig om väldigt tidiga prototyper där inget egentligen fungerade, utan det visades mest hur en hybrid mellan surfplatta och smartphone skulle kunna se ut. Det rörde sig helt enkelt om en surfplatta som bara var en skärm och där all hårdvara istället satt i en mobiltelefon som man dockade in på plattans baksida. Läs mer

   The Asus PadFone is the first attempt to bring to life an exciting idea. The idea of having just one device powering your computing needs. And we love that notion. Despite what Asus achieved with the PadFone, this attempt alone is worth applause - it creates a category of its own.    The padfone is an amazing phone with all the features a smart phone can have. Asus really thought of the details when making this phone. The build is solid and feels great in the hand, the screen is crystal clear, and the performance is outstanding. The price could be reduced a little. Overall, I love it.    I have already downloaded lots of free applications for Padfone and attached smart phone. One more thing that I would like to mention is the fact that now with Padfone in my hand, I don’t need to worry about transferring data and various files from smart phone to Padfone and vice versa.
