Mario 64 thrilled with its genius, and DK 64 keeps you smiling by offering something new at every turn. The cutesy style won't impress everyone, but only a fool would deny themselves a game of this quality on aesthetic grounds. Every character starts with some basic abilities, and builds them up as he goes along. If there was ever a game that the N64 had been waiting in agony for, it has to be Donkey Kong 64. Rare have yet again outdone themselves. This is the first game to ever ‘require’ the expansion pack to be played, this is because those extra 4megs of RAM are actually being used for something other than just high res graphics (Rare, bless their souls, what unimaginable concept will they come up with next?). Rare is one of the best developers in the industry and with each release, they further establish this reputation of theirs. - Great graphics for N64, has decent gameplay, has a multiplayer mode
- Doesnt quite do as much for me as SM64, doesnt feel quite as refined. Needs expansion pak costs alot
