Considering their $200 price tag, it’s amazing to see how many professional features M-Audio’s Studiophile AV 40 reference monitors are packed with, including 1/4-inch balanced inputs that can accommodate long cable runs. You’re doing all of that music on your PC a disservice by attempting to filter sound through those coin-sized built-in fakers. A proper set of speakers won’t set you back a month’s rent and will have you rocking until the cops show up. I cannot say enough about the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 Desktop Speaker System. They are a wonderfully balanced speaker system in all regards. These speakers literally make you taste what you hear. Since 2003, I’ve never given an Editor’s Choice Award to an audio system. These monitors are awseome. I bought them just to use as regular computer speakers and haven't been more pleased. To get the best sound though make sure they are level with you ears, so I'd suggest looking into a 6" speaker lift. Even without the lift though these sound incredible. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

Renaste och klaraste ljudet jag någonsin hört från ett par datorhögtalare. Naturlig bas som gör sig bäst på lite avstånd (ingen halvmeter till din sittplats alltså) och som lämpar sig till allt utom bas-aggressiv musik. Koppla till ett ljudkort av klassen Asus Xonar så kommer de verkligen till sin absoluta rätt. Läs mer

Unfortunately, it seems that there may be recurring issues with this model and the headphone jack not behaving properly. It seems that when plugging in headphones, the monitors don't completely silence themselves. This won't work very well if you are in a recording environment, or even, say, wanting to listen to music or a movie while somebody else who doesn't is in the same room. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

I was searching for decent enough speakers that would replace my old Creative T20, and I ended up with the AV40 despite heavy consideration between these and the Swan 1080MkII 08. Turns out that these speakers are certainly an upgrade over the T20 presenting a much clearer, fuller sound. I would say that it would be around a 75% increase in overall performance. I wanted to upgrade my computer speakers. The Dell site recommends Bose. A CNet review recommended M-Audio's 20 series. Once I was on to M-Audio, I chose the 40's.
