    There is literally nothing wrong with this cooler – excellent temperatures, easy install and silent operation – that is until you come to the price. It retails for £50 which is a fair ol’ amount of beer money. Considering as the Coolink Silentator isn’t far behind/has similar temperatures AND includes a near silent (mulnaz) fan, AND is cheaper, I think that the Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme will be left off most peoples shopping list.     The Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme is a great choice for a CPU cooler and performs as expected, very well overall. I'll be honest though it's not as great as I expected it to be, from all of the hype I've read about the TRUE I expected super low temperatures and the TRUE to blow every cooler I've got away, but that didn't happen here in my testing.     • Compatibility issues with certain motherboards, Base needs lapping, Large and heavy, Expensive

    So is the Thermalright Ultra-120 worth its price tag? In my opinion, absolutely. This is especially true if you've bought a new processor recently, because the Ultra-120 eXtreme will perform that much better than the cheaper offerings, increasing its thermal performance number. Not only that, but you'll probably get a higher overclock, making it worth that much more. I recommend you use it with a middle-of-the-road RPM fan for the best balance of performance and noise.     Like the Ultra-120 that came before it, the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme applies fairly simple concepts to yield a well performing tower heatsink that doesn't have to generate much noise to get the job done. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

    If you are looking for a heatsink that is not only quiet to use, but also brings with it an outstanding performance record the Ultra eXtreme 120 heatsink should be on your shortlist of items to look at.     EDIT: Sedan jag skrev den här recensionen har en ny processorkylare kommit ut på marknaden som slår Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme i alla tester. Denna nya kylare är Prolimatech Megahalems. Varför ska man köpa en ny processorkylare när det följer med en gratis standardkylare till varje processor man köper? Jo, av två anledningar: Ljudnivå och temperatur! Läs mer

    • Dyr .  Skrymmande .  Komplicerad installation .
