Final Fantasy 7 tells the story of Cloud Strife, and Ex-Soldier who's helping out a resistance group by the name of Avalanche against the government/corporation Shin-Ra. Cloud begins out as a self-centered, apathetic gun for hire but becomes more entrapped in the story as both Shin-Ra and the evil Sephiroth, a former war hero gone bad, threaten to destory the world. - Large, involving story, Excellent FMVs, Materia system allows for a lot of customization
- Inconsistent graphics, Plot seems to have some holes in it

There's not a lot you can say about Final Fantasy VII apart from YOU MUST OWN THIS GAME. The phenomenal amount of effort Squaresoft have put into the game is immediately obvious from the opening CGI, and from then on it just gets more and more incredible. Before I can even begin, I'm going to have to take a moment to set your expectations for the following review. There are few series I consider to even be on the same level as the twelve official games in the Final Fantasy legacy, and of those I consider chapter eight to be the undeniable pinnacle. I got sucked into this game. If only all rpg's had characters you cared about and story lines that draw you into another world. - Wonderful story. Great character development. Gameplay both easy and fun.
- Some players may not like materia system.
