Definitely a vast improvement from the original Space Invaders , but its still a 2D game. Don't be expecting anything along the lines of Soul Reaver here, but the backgrounds are beautifully rendered and the characters are nicely detailed. Explosions and such look good and the sound effects are appropriate. There's a cool FMV intro that makes reference to the original game and old school Space Invaders fans will get a kick out of this.
