The simple user interface of the RT-N16 wireless router might put off a few users that find it patronising but they're missing out. All the functions you're likely to need, and more, are easy to control and if you need to get to them, more advanced options aren't hard to find. These days, a good deal of ISPs include a router with their broadband packages to sweeten the deal and to make setup easier. But as they are usually included ‘free’, such routers are usually made very cheaply and only have the bare essential features. Skickade in min defekta Asus RT-N15. Dustin mottog den på måndag förmiddag, ersättnings routern RT-N16 va på posten samma dag och levererades till mig på Tisdagen. Såjag kan inte klaga. Hade lite svårigheter med "Down load Master" men efter ett samtal till Asus support och nedladdning av uppdaterade filer funkade det fint. Aldrig haft en router som va så lätt att installera. Läs mer

To get the most of this router's hardware capability, you need to install Tomato USB. this process might be intimidating for the average Windows user.If you don't want to go this route, the supplied ASUS firmware might be enough for the average Joe. Läs mer Översätt till svenska
- Gigabit LAN, N,G 300, USB NAS and Printserver, Very generous amount of RAM and Flash. Broadcom Chipset. This router has the best hardware for Tomato USB firmware.
- could use a higher gain OEM antenna. Has been stable for me so far without pushing the processor clock to the max.

Bought this to replace the Netgear WNR2000 router as it just wasn't working well enough. After replacing it with the ASUS unit, I had excellent signal ~30 feet away through 2 rooms that I couldn't get a good signal with the Netgear unit. Also, the dual-USB ports are a godsend. It was easy to setup a shared printer on the one port that can now be used by all computers (4) on the network. While I haven't used the 2nd USB port yet, I've got it earmarked for a NAS.
