    The Good Nice build quality. Easy to set up. Automated front buttons. OCR and photo editing software included. Can use any scanning software. The Bad EPSON Scan does not yield the best scans. Must spend money on better scan software for best results. I developed an interest in our family's photo history a few years back, so while my sister works in Ancestry and Geni.com to put the jigsaw puzzle of our family together, I supply the photos, when available.     I 've just retired and I've got a lot of old slides and negatives I want to digitize," this frequent request starts. "What scanner do you recommend?" Frankly, we don't recommend a scanner at all.     When it works, it's fine. But it very frequently gets a brain cramp and will not allow me to scan film negatives. The menu won't even show the option. Give it a couple of day's rest and sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't. Look carefully at the support materials before buying. Make your own judgement. I think they're worthless.     I helhet en mycket bra skanner. Den är snabb och tyst, ingen uppvärmningstid. Däremot är ramarna som skall hålla negativen på plats ganska svåra att jobba med och dessutom är programmet som följer med inte så bra. Men jag tror att med Silverfast till denna skanner vore den perfekt. Alldeles perfekt för den som inte vill lägga ut massa på en skanner men ändå få en bra. Läs mer

    Use to make electronic copies and restore old family photos as well as other hard copy items, such as warranties to keep records organized electronically and available for printing.
