    I bought this unit to replace an aging Yamaha receiver that finally quit. Well, it worked great and sounded great -- for less than 8 months. Now when I turn it on, the display is extremely dim, and it turns itself off after a couple of minutes. It also now only occasionally responds to the remote control. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I am very annoyed and angry that this unit lasted less than a year. Läs mer Översätt till svenska

    I replaced a 13 year-old Yamaha receiver with this one. It works great and I'm very happy with this purchase. My only complaint is that the A/B speaker selector is not a push-button and results in a very tiny "A" or "B" being displayed on the screen. My prior model had a larger display on the screen and a mechanical push-button which made it very easy to determine which speaker channel is selected. I switch back and forth often.     Call me old-school. But when it comes to sound, I may have hit the jackpot. About 2 years ago, I decided to upgrade from my old and faithful Technics amplifier to a 21st century piece of equipment. I know, two years is a long way, but there is a story. I started to do my piece of research, and within my budget (700$ tops), I wanted to go for a 5.1 or more surround receiver .     If you are looking for a receiver to play music this is the best value for your dollar. The sound is as clean as it gets (THD of .019) Lots of versatility with the options the "pure" sound features which plays the music as recorded by by bypassing the audio controls or modifying the sound with the bass, treble and loudness controls.     • Lots of power and inputs! Phono, XM and EQ friendly.
    • Cost was a bit high ($480). Hard to find, and find in-stock.
