Like sharks, home cinema receiver makers must keep moving or they die. Well, perhaps that's a bit dramatic – but consider Denon 's position here. My Denon 1909 died w/in 2 years

My Denon 1909 died within two years of purchase. They repaired it under warranty, but now, less than a year after the repair, it died again this weekend. For the kind of money they charge for their products, I sure would expect a longer life span than 2 - 3 years. Also, when it was working, it would lose its internal settings from time to time, so I'd have to go back through the menus and re-select the correct inputs. I sure won't buy another Denon. Audyssey automatic speaker setup was good except that the crossover frequency 200Hz was beyond my sub's range. The remote cannot turn on/off my cable DVR box but can change channels -- tried all preset codes for this. I hooked up a pair of yamaha ns 555, yamaha ns 525 center, wharfedale surround speakers, and a klipsch sub 12 subwoofer to the system. The surround sound of this receiver compared with my previous receiver is great. The sound is very dynamic. Läs mer Översätt till svenska
- more importantly is its outstanding quality, easy to install, wide soundstage,
- fewer inputs than other receivers, but it is an issue for me since i just connected a pair of pl;ayers to the receiver.

Bought this product because I currently own a Denon receiver that has performed well over the years. Price was right and has several hdmi hookups for newer components. Works well but haven't had a chance to use for full performance. It is a little difficult to operate and has a thick manual. Läs mer Översätt till svenska
